Writing (Self-Assess)!

WALT: Self-Assess our writing.

SC: I will use the writing rubrics to help me.
I will asses my writing against 7 elements.

Ideas: 4 - I have lots of ideas that are connected to the topic with extra information.

Structure & Language: 5 - Because my writing has a title, intro, body and conclusion. I have also used a passive voice, topic specific words with casual words and some conjunctions.

Organisation: 6 - My ideas are organised in paragraphs. I can use language features that link ideas when appropriate.

Vocab: 4 - I have used a variety of precise words to add information.

Sentence: 5 - I can write a variety of sentences that are mostly grammatically correct.

Punctuation: 5 - I can use correct sentence punctuation (capital letters, & full stops).

spelling: 4 - I spell most essential list words correctly. I attempt some difficult* words using my knowledge of spelling rules. I hear and write all sounds in a word.

Writing score = 33 Which equals 4p.

this week was a very stressful week why you may ask? Because of our writing assessment we had and oh boy I was not ready. I said to my self I can do this I can do this and I DID IT, I actually feel very relieved last term or last year I did not so good, but this term I actually feel proud :)

HI everyone! This is my market day business plan. Me an my friends have been writing this out for weeks. I did this because Its a plan for what me and my friends are selling. What I found really hard was trying to find out what we are going to do for our business plan.Our market day is on the first of December 2017 we would like anyone to come down hope to see you there.

when I went to Wellington.

Yayyyyy On a Sunny holiday my Dad said “do you’s want to come to Wellington for the holidays?” I
 said yes and my sister said yes to but I didn’t want her to come. Anyways When me my Dad and mysister were in Wellington It was so cool to see all of the statutes it was so amazing.We got to Wellington airport and guess what? there was hardly anyone there but some airport people were. I kept on running around and around and around. Then I nearly got in trouble it was so Funny we waited for probably about one Hour for my Dad’s friend to pick us up. Eventually he turned up we got to our amazing hotel and amazing pool. The next day we got to the Museum and It looked like it was a giant house. When we went in I was so full of joy. First we went and saw some Gallipoli statutes about A.N.Z.A.C Wars. After that we went and seen the sea Mountains exhibition and some sea creatures. Later on that day we went to watch a movie.We went and watched the Despicable Me after that we went to kmart and bought some Clothes. Then we went to the pizza shop and bought yummy pizza’s later we went back to our hotel and we woke up to the next day.Then in the morning We went back to te papa and we went to the cafe there was yummy stuff like blueberry muffins and pies and yummy pizza’s I keeped on running around and hiding away but then I got lost but then I found my sister and my dad said my dad and sister “said don’t run away again” but it was funny anyways it began getting darker and darker and darker I will never forget that day never never never…………..

WALT use language features of persuasive writing

To be successful I will:

rhetorical questions to make my writing interesting
Use emotive language (words about feelings/emotions)

I learnt that persuasive writers ask readers questions. They do this to make the reader interested in their work.

                                                       lets have a protected beach in Northland.

I strongly believe that marine reserves are a good idea. Firstly i think marine reserves are great and magnificent No one can fish there or take anything thing away. isn’t that amazing? You are not allowed to grab anything like fish or kaimoana or paua or kina or oru or fish there. because it is a protected beach secondly i think Northland should have more marine reserves.my last reason marine reserves are only good for swimming you would feel tremendous if you swam in a marine reserve.would you want to swim in a marine reserve?  Or swim in a unprotected beach ? in summary new zealand wants to have more marine reserves it would be delighted.

Should All Rubbish Go To The Dump?

I believe we all should not send rubbish to the dump because you can recycle some.I am going to give you reasons why you could recycle and not put  rubbish into the landfill. My first reason don't throw away rubbish in the landfill like hazardous stuff it could blow up under the ground .My second reason you should not put chemicals into landfills because it could poison your drinking water. So i think all rubbish should be recycled.
