Today my class had to present their speech.
I talked about how 'Social Media Sites Should Be Banned' I made sure that I was confident and spoke clearly. I focused on making sure that I made eye contact with my classmates, but it was hard because I kept forgetting some of my parts, so relied on my cue cards.
I wasn't that nervous in class as most of them are my friends. I made it to the school presentations. Unfortunately my nerves got the best of me. Speaking in front of class was sweet as. Speaking in front of the whole school - TOTALLY different. I found it scary. It felt like heaps of eyes were looking at me. I sped through my speech. Forgot to emphasise key parts of what I wanted to say. I was so glad when it was over.
Here is a video of me speaking in front of my class. Hope you enjoy.
Kia ora Manaaki-tia,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the video of your speech and your reflection. You are right, speaking in front of friends is 'sweet as' but I can imagine in front of the school - scary! I enjoyed listening to your reasons as to why social media should be banned and I like how you asked the audience questions. When my children were growing up we had a rule that we couldn't have any technology in the lounge OR after they had gone to bed. Do you have rules at your house?
